Sooo… pretty much he just told Cas that Cas is nothing. Fuck you Dean.

Now that I’ve collected my thoughts just a bit…

Ouch. Seriously. I know Dean didn’t MEAN it like that but how is Cas supposed to take that? The statement implies that Cas isn’t enough. And judging by his heartbroken expression, that’s exactly what Cas thinks, on top of being worried and devastated that Dean would make that choice.

I hope when they get Dean back next season Cas tears him a new one. Because what Dean just did and what Dean just said was honestly cruel ad bullheaded.

*hand waves* Yeah. I’ll have to sleep on it to get some more coherent thoughts together, but this is exactly what I was afraid of happening this season – Cas has to again watch Dean make a stupid-ass decision on behalf of someone else, but no one has ever – ever – made that stupid-ass decision on behalf of Cas.
